Professor Temple showed evidence that magnifying lenses, telescopes, and optical surveying techniques existed from the time of Old Kingdom Egypt, with magnifying crystals known even in Predynastic times, circa 3300 BC. Over 400 ancient optical artifacts which were precision-ground or cast have been discovered by Professor Temple proving the exact alignments of ancient monuments were made possible by the use of crystal and glass lenses. The mythical dimension of 'light technology' was also explained, such as the true meaning of the myth of Prometheus, based on 'fire from heaven' produced by light beams focused by magnifying lenses and mirrors.
